I'm not sure how much influence feminism has in Ghana specifically, or in the African continent generally. But I'm sure if it had been sufficiently prevalent, the FACT that men are beaten more than women - would never have made it to press. It seems in Africa, as with much of the third-world, a lot of feminism is imported by the heavily influenced humanitarian organisations. Whilst feminism in the western world is artificially sustained, in the third-world traditional patriarchal families are vital to many families very existence. Inpractical ideology vs practical necessity! The word 'misandry' recognized on a mainstream popular UK tv dictionary/numbers show - Countdown (Oxford Dictionary of English). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rfh2kR10P8 "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State. How symbolic. I raised my arms to cover my face and my right elbow wound up severely injured. Clearly a defensive injury with about 12-15 points of damage to the skin and a lot of tendon/muscle damage which required surgery to repair. I could not get help from the police, courts, social workers, church or anyone else. I later prevailed in Civil Court as Family Court would do nothing except kick me out of my own house. The thing is...the victory in Civil Court was ignored in Family Court. In fact I continued to be lectured in Family Court over the years as I tried to get help seeing my son. It's like you are in the Twilight Zone or a Franz Kafka novel. I am new to this site...I think I figured out that MRA means men's rights activist. I have no idea how to change the sentiments in local Family Courts across CT (my state) or the USA, or North America, or Earth. Best advice I can give is to stay out of Family Court for one thing. Many other things but this is a short post. | |||
