One of the kneejerk assumptions most people make when the words 'domestic violence' are used is that it is always a case of men bashing women. The fact is that wives and girlfriends are just as capable of beating up their partners as men.

In the last 20 years or so, the proportion of men attacking women has declined dramatically, whereas the proportion of women attacking men has risen to astronomical proportions. If present trends continue, within the next 25 years the majority of abusive partners will be women assaulting men.

For decades there has been proof that women have regularly attacked men behind the closed doors of the home. Only now that feminism is in rapid decline are the true facts coming to light as the feminista had always 'discouraged' independent research.

Men, being men, have always been reluctant to report incidents to the police unless they have been substantially injured. Whilst females have no hesitation in reporting abuse to the police, males take a more 'stoic' approach and 'take it on the chin'. Abuse of males does not therefore get included in crime statistics and therefore even 'official' statistics grossly under-state violence again men.

(A British study of domestic violence shows that women are already responsible for 35% of cases involving the physical abuse of their partner (and don't forget, this is only the REPORTED cases, which as any man knows, is bound to be the tip of the iceberg). Other studies in recent years in Britain and America have shown that the true figure is about 50/50, and with the huge rise in violent behaviour by female partners, it is a question of when, not if, the 'ladies' overtake the men.) Furthermore it is widely known that allegations of abusiveness against women are badly skewed since many women's allegations are false, motivated by malice and man-hate.

In reality, men and women are equally likely to commit domestic violence. Violence is a human issue. Therefore, having female-only domestic violence shelters is patently wrong.

The 'Duluth model' has been the feminist way of looking at domestic violence. Basically, it says that the 'patriarchy' makes out men to always be aggressors and perpetrators so according to the Duluth model women cannot possibly be abusers. For some reason the governments have accepted the Duluth model as holy writ so basically all government-run shelters are female only.

In the last few years, a very few high-profile cases have made a disbelieving public aware, as if for the first time, that women can be as predatory and as perverted as men.

The situation with child abuse is even worse. The overwhelming majority of child abusers are female. Violent, sadistic or uncontrollable women spend years abusing their children, physically, psychologically and sexually. The inconvenient fact, as reported by FBI crime statistics, is that 65 to 70% of all child (abuse-related) deaths occur at the hands of their mothers or female caretakers.

the "perpetrator/victim" model is pretty much standard practice and its really wrong..

There is much provacation, reaction, over-reaction, etc..

The way things are going with the DV freaks, they may as well have all men and women segregated at birth and meet only to breed..

Then, no doubt they will allocate the kids to the few folk who can bring them up in the state approved manner..

I've suffered it from women. Physically, I could have beaten them in to the ground, but I was afraid to even fight back for fear of arrest.

You know, this is one thing that really gets my goat.
The feminist harp has been playing this tune for years, the one that says "only men abuse".
Tie this is in with the fact that these days the media has selective hearing to abuse, where men are the victims.

I know of a guy a few years back that was beaten really badly by his wife (she had a really hideous temper) and he was showing me the bruises some days after the incident.
I asked him if he had reported it to police, he said "I tried, but the policemen laughed at me"

I told him to get his arse down to the police station and demand they do something about this, this is after all what our taxes pay for, is it not?

Look, this goes on all the time, women think it is OK to slap men, some even think it's funny.
My way of thinking is, don't hit anyone, unless you expect to be hit back.

I've had run-in's with cops before at fire incidents.
It's called "get the f**k out of my way this house is on fire!"
They are all lazy and are only after one thing, an arrest to bring up their quota.
julie could tell you about an incident I intimated over at menz.org.nz, where a Mens Shelter was burned to the ground by one of the Feminazi's.
The cops were there that night, no charges came out of that, apart from arson and intent to harm, diversion was the result.
If a man had tried to burn a Womens Refuge down you can bet a sentence of at least 10 years would have ensued, for Arson, Reckless Endangerment of Life, Failure to ensure people were in the Building (Fire Service Act 1979 Section 45, Clause 23, SC 12A).
