Cops: Woman attacks her sister www.metrowestdailynews.com/news/x334628722 By Norman Miller/Daily News staff MetroWest Daily News Sat Jan 12, 2008, 12:42 AM EST FRAMINGHAM - A Framingham woman broke a vase over her sister's face and kicked her while she was on the ground Thursday after an argument over a missing prescription, police said. Mallory E. Donnelly, 19, was arrested after the fight that she claimed began because her sister stole her medicine, police spokesman Lt. Paul Shastany said. Donnelly's sister, whom police did not name, went to the police station at 5:30 p.m. and said Donnelly had attacked her. The sister was bloodied, covered with cuts to her face and what appeared to be fingernail scratches to her neck. She also had a bruise on her chest, Shastany said. The sister said she and Donnelly were at their 5 Fairfield Road home when they started arguing about money. Donnelly then slapped her sister across the face, and the sister left to let Donnelly calm down. But, she returned two hours later around 5 p.m., when the argument continued and escalated. "She (Donnelly) threw a shoe at her (sister), and then she threw a vase at her," said Shastany. "The vase struck her in the face, shattering, and it left her with several lacerations to her face." The victim fell to the floor, but Donnelly continued the attack. "She kicked her sister in the chest and ripped her shirt and pulled her hair," Shastany said. The sister broke away from Donnelly, left the apartment and went to the police station to report the assault. Donnelly told police her sister stole her medicine and the fight was due to that. Donnelly was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery. Donnelly pleaded not guilty at her Framingham District Court arraignment yesterday and was released without bail. She is due back in court on Feb. 6 for a pretrial conference.
