Look at the fact that Tom Ellis had to self-publish his book. Even without any publishing house behind it and using only word-of-mouth promotion, it hasn't sold badly. As competitive as publishing is these days, one would normally expect a publisher to snap up anything with a potential market.

But, as the woman who just wrote the book about the differences between male and female brains said - politics always trumps truth.
