As I said in another post, if global warming were due in fact, to hydrocarbons released here on earth, how do we explain the global warming taking place on Mars, Tritan, Jupiter, pluto? How do we account for the fact that the world was much warmer in the past than it is now (medieval warm period - grapes in Greenland!!!!), and the fact that all this global warming has taken place while the sun, (you know that great ball of fire in the sky), has been in one of its particularly active phases?
Sure, we COULD send money to under-developed nations around the world in the form of pollution credits, keep smogging up our own air and lungs, and watch as these third world nations take our hard earned money and burn it up in the smoke of their newly purchased coal generators; OR, we could look at the trend reasonably, analyzing all the factors and go from there.
Obviously it makes more sense to burn our money on the alter of foreign coal generators - at least the United Nations thinks so. And, though it falsifies its statistics and threatens its scientists to tow the line or else, global warming can only be due to man-made hydrocarbons which make up less than 1% of our atmosphere - even though weather balloons around the globe prove DAILY that the green house gas effect is a global farce...
Tell you what, take a plane ride sometime, and look down at the tiny ball below you - that's the earth. The glowing fireball that could swallow the planet whole without even so much as a flicker? That's the sun - consider for a moment which might have the larger impact: the massive glowing fireball a 109 times the size of the earth, or that tiny speck on your right which might have, could have been a factory.
