The Queen costs nothing. She is self-funding and provides far more 'Head of State' bang for that buck than your President does.
The Presidential election alone soaks up more wasted media time - and
vast amounts of
YOUR dollars - every four goddam years, than is spent on the Queen in twenty years.
As for me paying for her. I am in Australia. The Queen of Britain is also the Queen of Australia. And of Canada. And of New Zealand. America is the only anglophile nation that is the odd one out. We don't pay a cent and she lives 12000 miles away and never interferes with us. She pops around for a visit occasionally and it is like welcoming a Granny who we only see once in a while.
